Drug Legalization

Sorinne Ardeleanu

for  President of the United States of America

2020 Presidential Candidate

Sorinne believes that people deserve the freedom to choose which substances they put in their bodies, along with access to unbiased information about those substances. This way people can make better informed choices not driven by any agendas or based on theories and fantasies. Drugs (and foods) can be used as medicine for healing or as poison for creating diseases... depending on their usage and the consumer's natural predisposition. One human's poison can be another human's antidote... and vice versa. It is NOT government's place to interfere and dictate what is right for any individual's life, as long as they are not causing direct harm to others.

Sorinne believes people who make independent decisions about what they put in their bodies are punished or rewarded directly by their choices; they should not be treated as criminals. She believes that government and humanity should choose to exercise compassion for people who choose to self-medicate, understanding they are experiencing some from of dis-ease, pain, or suffering and are not criminals.

Sorinne believes there are only two reasons why a person chooses to self-medicate:

1) To feel good (pleasure) because they feel bad (pain), or 2) To not feel at all (suppressing or repressing pain - mental, physical, and/or spiritual), because they do not know how to achieve those states of being naturally.

Sorinne believes legalizing drugs, along with providing facts about their uses and effects, will allow for quality control and safer usage. This will also free up the justice system from dealing with drug related crimes (since they won't be crimes anymore) and save taxpayers money, especially by not housing drug users and dealers in our jails and prisons.
